Am I Blue?
Judging by my clothes, I am indeed. It came to my attention in college that I tend to dress to reflect my moods. Once, upon hearing that the boy I liked wasn’t attracted to me, I spent a weekend wearing oversized, gray sweats.
Today, as you can most likely tell from the post I wrote last [...]
To Whom It May Concern
Well, here I am taking large strides towards the things that are supposed to be important to me. Basically, I realized that I can’t have what I want. It just isn’t the right time and I can’t wait. Instead, I have to settle for what is healthier for me.
This sucks. I hate that I constantly [...]
More Tony Madness – A Sondheim Supper
As of a few days ago I finally decided on a theme for the Tony Party food. I’m pretty excited about this new direction and I’d love feedback and suggestions.
Here it is: I’m doing all of the food based on songs and shows by Stephen Sondheim in honor of his lifetime acheivement award and the fact that [...]
This “Emotional” Thing Is A Bitch
Most things that come across my daily life immediately become fodder for this past time. I try to spin all of my emotional drama, work stress, and even occasional head injuries into amusing anecdotes to share via the web with those of you looking to distract yourself during the day.

Comfort Food?
The other day, as I was entertaining myself with silly quizzes, I began to notice a pattern in the results of all things food-related. For just about every quiz I took, I came up as some sort of comfort food. Blandish, normal, non-pretentious. I suppose there are worse things to be. Still, it would be [...]
Well Done
In checking the statistics on this site for Memorial Weekend, I saw I hit record lows for the month of May. Good job, folks. I’m glad to see that people were away from their computers over the weekend. That’s wonderful.
I know that I was as far from my computer as possible this weekend. And I [...]
One Hippopotami
I love this song. Being the word geek I am, I find myself incredibly amused by the lyrics. The tune is reminiscent of “What Kind of Fool Am I?” and is probably based on exactly that song (another favorite of mine, by the way).
Enjoy Alan Sherman’s tune, particularly the bit about “half” and “whole.”

Left Over Thoughts
I can’t seem to think of anything interesting to say that I haven’t already said.
You must be tired by now of hearing that I’m not over Afghanistan. Last week he offered to take me to dinner this coming Sunday. There was a whole conversation about some Colorado restaurant that is, apparently, an institution here and [...]
I’m in a Terrible Fix
As I finished up my afternoon yesterday I was joking cordially with my co-worker about my tendency to over-commit. As we said goodbye to each other on our way out, the last thing she said to me was, “Don’t agree to anything else!” We chuckled. You see, I can’t seem to say no to anyone. [...]
